Been seeing the sign board in the satellite terminal but never get a chance to pop in. Since I’m travelling a mid-day flight this time, I decided to give it a try and see what’s in there…

Bangkok

Over the years, I don’t really travel to Bangkok for work, transit couple of times in the airport and been into the city one or twice for holiday. Finally, I have a business trip to Bangkok, staying in Centre Point Saladaeng, very nice service apartment…

Since I’ve done quite a bit of travelling lately, staying in a nice and comfortable hotel is very important as I really hope to get some good sleep so I can catch up with the busy schedule of meetings after meetings as well as the flights!

First Trip in 2010

When I step into office on the first day of work in year 2010 – that’s 4th January, I have the feeling of getting some travel schedule line-up pretty soon. True enough, I pick up 2 trips straight after – Manila and Bangkok. Now, I’m on the first trip, 4 hours flight from KL yet on the same timezone – Manila.

And the wonderful Edsa Shangrila room, the receptionist greet me by the taxi and bring me straight to my room, check-in procedure was done right there! What else can I say, First Class service!

You should check out the bed!

1st dinner in the 1st decade of the 20-1st century…

It was a long planned gathering postpone from November to December and finally into the new year of 2010. Various places has been proposed and changed and finally Daniel chose this “nose to tail” eating place right in the middle of city center. We have a good turn up except for one couple who can’t make it due to last minute emergency (it’s OK! We had eaten on your behalf! :D ).

On the side, this is also an event for us to meet the new member of our group – Zhou Hin! Although it’s been a while but it’s good to see him! He is almost 8 months old now. So cute and adorable! Alright, enough of crap, I know you’ve been waiting for some foodies shots…

We had a few beer during the meal and total damage was RM700.00 (RM100.00 per person). I would say the price is slightly above average but good food!. Finally, a poster view of Elcerdo – nose to tail eating…

Injury!

While driving back from Jusco, a flying stone hit my windscreen and here’s the damage! My new ride is barely 3 months old!!! Guess that’s part and parcel of city driving, dents and cracks on your car cannot be avoided. Sigh…

Looks like I have to call up Dr. Windscreen next week to fix my ride. Someone told me it cost around RM70 to repair the crack (about 2cm long), do you have any experience with them?

Jalan Jalan Cari Makan…

A 3D2N trip to my hometown located in the nothern region of Malaysia – Taiping. This trip was planned to happen early December, however due to my busy travel schedule, it got pushed towards the end of the year. Finally, thanks to dad for helping on hotel booking, we make it between 27th ~ 29th Dec 2009. A family of 5 going on my new ride “again” up north…

As the name of this post says, we are really going for food around Taiping as well as some shopping on leisure. Without spending more time explaining where we go and what we eat, let’s jump straight to the photos…

After some research on Internet, we decided to drive up to Kuala Sepetang (十八丁) to hunt for seafood. It’s a coastal town feature the first railway in Malaysia (since 1885) between Port Weld (now knows as Kuala Sepetang) and Taiping. The drive took us approximately 30mins and here we go…

There is one place that we kind of going every time we are back in Taiping. Personally, I like this place very much simply because they serve my favourite – Lok Lok. We were here almost right after the lunch in Kuala Sepetang. Everyone arrive with a “pretty” full stomach, hence, we didn’t eat a lot…
