GreenHills

Yesterday, Woei Sai (my colleague) and I were pretty bored and decided to go to a mall nearby – GreenHills Shopping Center. We took a taxi from the hotel which cost 55 pesos (about RM4) and we arrive in less than 10 mins.

This mall is really big! We went to check out their cell phone section which I bet you gonna be shocked! Easily there are more than 200 stalls selling new and used cell phones, accessories, repairing, downloading of software, etc.

Walking around and we end up went to “ChowKing” to grab a bite and spend some time there. Then, while walking back to the mall. Someone tried to offer us DVDs! Earlier, we were told by another colleague that DVD movies are not easily get here unless someone offer it to you! And we got it!

After a long walk following that person, finally we arrive at his house where there are tons of DVD titles. Surprisingly, he told us those good quality one were actually “imported” from Malaysia! Wow! Can you imagine that? For a moment, I am proud of being Malaysian! :icon_cool:

Lastly, both of us bought 8 DVDs which cost 90 pesos each (about RM6.50) and head back to hotel start watching them! :icon_mrgreen:

Jeepney…

This should be equivalent of Thailand too-too. It’s a paid “taxi-bus” that take you from one place to the other around Manila City. :icon_eek:

Manage to get a shot on this during my way to DigiTel site. It’s a data-center below a huge shopping mall. At least not too hard to get food. Hopefully work goes well over here…

@ Manila

Just arrived at hotel, it’s not Edsa Shangrila but Discovery Suites. First sight and comment for Manila, pretty much like Yangon (Myanmar) or Jakarta (Indonesia). From the look of this city, can tell that it’s still under-going heavy development.

The only thing that seems different from Jakarta will be the sign-boards. Mostly are in English compare to Indonesia Malay in Jakarta.

My hotel is just few steps away from the SM Megamall… :icon_eek: …yet to check out…
