September 30th

Today, mark a special milestone in “our” life…Six years! Yes, it’s six years! But the scene on how we met was still clearly in my mind, it’s like yesterday!

Darling! I love you! Happy Anniversary! :icon_razz: :icon_razz:

Rangitoto – volcanic island

30 minutes cruise away from Auckland CBD, it’s a dormant volcano where the last eruption was 600 years ago. It took approx. 1 hour via the summit track to reach the top. I met an Australian and an American who also travelling alone, three of us walking together to check out the lava cave.

On the way down, we had quite a bit of chatting about our travelling experience. We catch the last ferry back to downtown around 3:30pm…

Tired but nice! :icon_mrgreen:

Harbour Bridge Climb

Finish work around 1:30pm today, head straight back to hotel and call up AJ Hackett, book for 2:30pm bridge climb. Jump on the city shuttle to downtown then catch the shuttle to Westhaven Reserve…

It’s really a wonderful experience climbing the harbour bridge. Being at the top of the bridge you can see Auckland in a different way and the view is awesome! Best of all, the weather today was really nice and windy, sky is clear!

Unfortunately, no loose items allowed. Hence no camera were brought up there and no photos to show you guys…but all I can say is…it’s COOL!

Free day

Today, rushing to downtown early morning wanted to have a hot chinese breakfast. But then I found out the chinese food court only open at 10:30am. Pop over to a shopping mall and end up having McD for breakfast.

Walk over to Vodafone V.nue and Dean told me to take a day off and be there by 8:00am tomorrow. Wow! What a surprise! Without much delay, I leave the office and wandering around town. Took couple of photos, then bought a ticket up to Sky Tower. It’s really a clear day where I can see really far from the observation deck. PHOTOS! PHOTOS! Also manage to watch people jumping from the tower, it’s the tallest jump in NZ. Scary! :icon_rolleyes:

After Sky Tower, I run down to Queen Street chinese food court. A normal mixed rice cost me NZD$6. Next destination – Kelly Tarltons Antartica Encounter + Underwater World. Return to the city at 4pm and catch the shuttle back to hotel by 4:30pm…

A great day out ! :icon_biggrin:

Walking by the sea…

Today, I leave Vodafone about 4pm and start walking towards WestHaven Marina. I wanted to go to the corner where I went yesterday. The view from there is really spectacular, I manage to capture lot of photos.

The weather is just nice for photography session. Check out my album at http://blog.chengchuan.org/photo

Postponed…

Meeting with Vodafone has been delayed. Hence, I text Tommy right away and we met up about 20 minutes later.

Tommy brought me tour around Auckland famous tourist spots, casinos, etc. Also visited his office (opposite Sky Tower). He treated me ice-cream and dinner. In the midst putting photos taken during the day… :icon_razz:

Landed…

After ten hours flight, finally touched down in Auckland. Business class seat was superb, can be “flattened” into a bed style. Food was nice and service is good.

Need to catch up meetings with Vodafone. Meanwhile, check out the seat control…
