Over the long Deeparaya weekend, four of us make a trip up north to Ipoh and Penang. Our first stop after dim sum breakfast in Ipoh is the much awaited – largest cave in Penisula Malaysia, the Tempurung Cave.
We joined the Grand Tour which cost RM 22.00 per person, enter the cave around 10:30am. We were told by the tour organiser that due to weather condition, we need to start the tour via the “more” dangerous path and later return via a simple way. Our group was made up by 4 of us, another 4 in a family (with 2 kids) and a large group (about 10) of youngster in early 20’s.
The so called “dangerous” path is the wet walkway that lead us to the inner side of the cave. I would say 4 of us went without any preparation beside 2 torch light (which we bought at the entrance). The adventure lasted for approx. 4 hours and we walk out the cave around 2:30pm.
Everyone was wet, exhausted and laughing at each other. There is one part where we need to do army crawl in the water, that’s the worst part because we are carrying cameras, mobile phones and other stuffs which all of them are not water-proof.
Anyway, it’s definitely a stunning experience for everyone! Check out the photos… :icon_razz:
