A fun day out!

Our day start around 11:30am, walk to the Queens Wharf, get a return ticket to Matiu/Somes Island, cost NZ$21 per person. Still 20 minutes before the ferry depart, Daniel haven’t had any breakfast (he overslept AGAIN!), so we run to the nearest Subway for him to grab a “foot long” sandwich that he suppose to consume 6-inches now and keep the other 6-inches for later. As usual, the hungry gorilla swallow the entire foot long sandwich in less than 20 mins.

We arrive at the island after approx. 25 mins ferry ride (it was a bumpy one!). As this is a reserved island, we would have to go thru some pest control/checking in a little quarantine house. Then we were given a little brief history about the island which I find it quite interesting. You don’t normally get these when you visit places like – Pulan Ketam back home. We walk around the small island and manage to cover most of the walking track and back to the jetty waiting for the 3:10pm ferry return to the city.

As we step out from the ferry at Queens Wharf, we were thinking of food! While walking to our pre-planned makan place, we realise it’s still early and we can actually go for a movie. Daniel says he hasn’t been into cinema for god knows how long ever since he started his busy travelling schedule. Hence, we got ourselves the 6:15pm – Quantum of Solace tickets and spend the waiting time in “Reading Cinemas” eating, chating, waiting and waiting…

The show finish exactly 2 hours after that and we were back to our room around 9:00pm. How you find my day? To me it was fun and great one after working numerous late nights and even weekends.

Stay tuned for photos, processing now…

A note about sunset…

Week 1, I am still living in a corner of the world where sunset around 4:30pm, the moment I step out from my work place around 6pm, it’s REALLY dark. Week 2, I was back at home where the sun set around 7:00pm which is what I think that’s the right time for sunset. Now as I am typing this (Week 3), I’m located at another corner of the world where sun won’t set until about 8:30pm!!

How am I keeping up with the drastic change over 3 consecutive weeks? Only god knows…

moments @ Warsaw

To be honest, you don’t get a working trip like this many times in your life. It’s really something to remember for years (if not for a lifetime)…
