Pasta Zanmai

Just a short week back in town, I’ve been to the 2 famous “Zanmai” outlets in Midvalley and The Gardens – Sushi Zanmai and Pasta Zanmai. To me, they both serve “Fusion” Japanese food, but indeed very good food. I didn’t bring my camera along so that’s all I have. The chicken with rice (RM13) was a huge serving which is great if you are fungry (yes I mean fungry!) and want to fill up your stomach with some good food! Check out – SuperSushi

Mines Shopping Fair

This neighbourhood shopping mall is just a stone throw away from my parents house. We have been patronising “MINES” every now and then for many years, seeing it grow and now being took over by a Singaporean owner – CapitaRetail. There’s lots of changes happen lately including – a 3 layer bridge over the water, a new wing with many up market brands, a brighter and more high-tech cark and more to come!

By the way, there’s whole lot of new eatery places in Mines including the famous Old Town White Coffee, Shilin Street Snacks, Food n Tea, Moon Flower Chinese Restaurant and the upcoming Carl’s Junior Burger! One cool thing I like is, the have Starbucks set right above the water channel across the mall, now I can enjoy the view of water taxi strolling while having a sip of my favourite espresso drink – Flat White :)

Another post before I leave…

With my pal down here, we have been eating out for the last few days. Some food that worth mentioning here, others are just random snaps before I “rape” them :) Oh ya! I’m coming home, can’t wait !!

  • Burger Fuel – a New Zealand home grown brand, their burger is huge and yummy (www.burgerfuel.com)
  • wagamama – another NZ Japanese restaurant, not very authentic but I like their food (www.wagamama.co.nz)

Voice over IP

Recently found a cheaper alternative to Skype, it’s a SIP-based provider (www.localphone.com) which means it allows you to use any generic SIP enabled client. Take a look at the call rates to Malaysia as below, quite a bit of saving, you can use this even when you are in Malaysia, save your phone bill up to 40% (compare to Skype) when calling a Malaysian mobile number.

The best combination (I can think of) will be a Skype subscription for unlimited landline call to Malaysia (cost 3.95 euros per month) then get some credits from Localphone for calling Malaysia mobiles. Get the best of both :)

Dolphin!

Cruise around the sound and you will see this…the dog (follow one of the passenger on board) get too excited and decide to jump into the water and have some fun with the dolphin :) This is my second time watching dolphin living in the natural habitat, they are so nice and friendly, I’m sure you will love to see them swmming too!
