Food Foundry @ Section 17
Jun 16
A quick decision over a morning chat with my pal, we decided to check out a new place (well it’s new to me but has been there for years!) at Section 17 – Food Foundry – your neighbourhood food provider. They sell the famous Mille Crepe which I can’t seems to find anywhere else except from my recent trip to Melaka. This restaurant has got no air condition and can be a bit stuffy in a hot afternoon.
We order both Vanilla and Strawberry flavour Mille Crepe as well as a bread butter pudding. The pudding is just normal (not that great really) but the Mille Crepe are awesome. See ?

Melaka – The Food
Jun 15
A trip will not be complete without tasting some good food. Since we stay in a strategic location, having good food is not a challenge at all. Simply join any long queue you found around the vicinity with a little patient, you will get it! Without further delay, let me introduce you the famous Heritage Chicken Rice Ball, there’re countless chicken rice shop in Melaka but only few were real authentic and good, do a bit of google and you should find this…

Another not to be missed “food” in Melaka is Satay Celup. If you like steamboat, I’m sure you know there are many steamboat variant in term of soup base, like porridge, soya bean milk, curry, tomyam, herbal and many more, but this is steamboat in satay sauce. Pick any food you like from the fridge with RM 0.50 or RM 0.60 per stick, dip it in the satay sauce and voila! Photo taken from Ban Lee Siang @ Jalan Ong Kim Wee…

Melaka – The Hostel
Jun 15
I did the booking from hostelworld.com after reading thru all the reviews, this seems to be a nice hostel strategically located right in the middle of Jonker Walk, it’s called – Number Twenty. We pay RM 50 per head for a twin bed room, the bathroom is located outside of the room, it’s shared among all the tenants on that floor (just 4 rooms).
The entire place is very clean and we feel very comfortable! The room is very spacious and equipped with air-condition which is a must given the hot weather outside. Let’s do the photo tour now…

Alright, here’s the contact in case you find it interesting and would like to check it out yourself. Frankly, I love staying at this place simply because everything is just a stone throw away, few minutes walk or drive will get you to all the famous attractions in Melaka.

Start off with breakfast @ OldTown, move on to Genting Highlands then further up to the famous Berjaya Hills – Colmar Tropicale and Japanese Tea Garden. I can’t remember but do they charge RM 10 for entrance fees in Colmar Tropicale ? I can see this place is getting old and kinda run down now. It was opened to public since 2001, back then this place was packed every weekend with people visiting all around the nation.
It was a fun filled Sunday with my wife and aunties. After an up hill trip, I just realise I need a car that has more juice! What car should I get next?
