Yes, for communication! Would you mind an oldschool phone that actually serve all your communication needs? My take is, if it do its job, and doing it greatly, I don’t mind at all!

Now, how do you want to communicate? Let’s see…

1 – Voice call
2 – Short message
3 – Multimedia message
4 – Video call
5 – Blogging (like this?)
6 – Social Networks (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, etc)
7 – Instant Messaging (Yahoo, MSN, GTalk, etc)
8 – Email (Gmail, Y! Mail, etc)
9 – Location App (Google Maps, foursquare, etc)
10 – Photo sharing (I know a picture worth thousand words, so a camera…)

Off hand, I can easily list the top 10 ways to communicate using “smart” mobile phone on the market these days. All I can say is BlackBerry do them all and doing a great job! Okay, may be not so much around Video calling but, come on, how often do you make video calls? I think people need to realise, a phone is a phone, it’s meant for communication not for gaming, balancing, tilting, gambling; whatever you can imagine!

Bottom line – I think one should first have a BlackBerry for communication and something else (the “i” or the “A”) for all the other purposes. Do you agree? Shout on… :)
